The Medstar National Rehabilitation Network (MedStar NRH)/The George Washington University (GW) Neurologic Residency program is accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association as a postprofessional residency program for physical therapists in Neurology.
The twelve month specialty residency program will develop advanced neurologic physical therapy practitioners who:
- Demonstrate excellence in patient-centered, evidence-based and collaborative clinical care
- Perform advanced clinical reasoning, assessment, and intervention skills for individuals with neurologic disorders across the spectrum of acuity/chronicity and practice setting
- Advance current knowledge and understanding of neurologic physical therapy practice through teaching of patients, students, clinicians, and other health care professionals
- Contribute to scholarly advancements in the field of physical therapy through research
- Embody the highest ethical and professional standards of physical therapy
The Neurologic Residency application deadline is January 15th.
